Sujit Choudhry

Sujit Choudhry is an expert and educator in comparative law. He acts as the director of constitutional Transitions center. He holds other titles and positions including Scholl Chair University of Toronto Faculty of Law and Professor New York University School of law. He grew up in Delhi India and was brought up by parents who were both professors.

They encouraged him to nurture his abilities intellectually by reading newspapers and listening to CBC radio. Sujit Choudhry grew interests for the law while still in Mc Gill pre-med school after his internship at bioethics.

After earning two degrees in law from Harvard and the University of Toronto, he began working as a professor at the University of Toronto. In 2004, he was a top-rated lecturer. His students have always admitted being inspired and excited after his lectures on constitutional law.

The outside world knows Sujit Choudhry as a renowned lecturer and speaker. He is a notable figure in the field of politics and constitutional law. Sujit Choudhry has traveled to about two dozen country to speak concerning different topics including political discussions. He has been exposed to several issues surrounding public debates, political violence as well as ceasefires.

He has a unique ability to apply everything he has learned throughout these experiences to solve problems about different people, cultures, government and such. Through this, he has been able to offer insightful suggestions and provides advice to multiple countries.

Sujit Choudhry has worked as a constitutional advisor for more than 20 years in different areas including facilitating public dialogues, advisory work, party, and parliamentarian leaders as well as stakeholder consultations. In a different life, he is a writer with over 90 articles, papers, reports, and book chapters.

He was also a law clerk to chief justice Antonio Lamer and was a faculty member of UC Berkley, University of Toronto and New York University. Sujit Choudhry is an internationally recognized authority in comparative constitutional law.

He has played a vital role in constitution building advisory and the rule of law process for over 20 years in 9 countries. He is motivated to generate and mobilize knowledge in support of constitution building through the international network of experts.
